Case #26-0108779

Mother of a 2-year-old daughter seeks representation for a custody hearing scheduled for December 15, 2026, at 1 PM. The opposing party is the child’s father. An August 2024 order granted Client primary physical custody and granted Father partial custody on alternating weekends and an alternating set of two weekdays; the parties share legal custody. In July 2025, Client filed to modify after the child returned home from Father’s care with a physical injury for the third time. Client believes Father’s new girlfriend is the source of the injuries. Client also filed for contempt, alleging Father repeatedly picks the child up late from daycare and is currently blocked from the daycare premises following a confrontation with the daycare staff. Client would like to modify the order so that Father has the child alternating weekends and one weekday each week. Client’s goal is to maintain primary physical, shared legal custody, and to possibly prohibit Father’s girlfriend from being alone with the child. Client is currently seeking a continuance as she has an unavoidable conflict on the date of the hearing. A volunteer attorney is needed to represent Client at the upcoming hearing.
