Case #26-0127391

Urgent

Client seeks representation at a debt collection hearing in Municipal Court on September 28, 2026, at 9 am. Client is being sued by Security Credit Services, LLC, and the complaint alleges that she owes around $5200 on an account originally with Pentagon Federal Credit Union. Client opened the account around 2020. Overwhelmed, client stopped making payments in 2024 when her father passed away, she lost a substantial amount of her income, and she had to move. The debt has now been sold to a third-party debt buyer. The Affidavit of Service claims that client’s 19-year-old nephew was served, but client says that her 11-year-old grandson was served while playing outside with his friends. Client lives with a disability and is on a fixed income but is amenable to an affordable payment plan. A volunteer is needed to represent client throughout the process.
