Mother seeks representation for a custody hearing scheduled for November 20, 2026, at 9:00 AM before Judge Ourania Papademetriou regarding her 11-year-old daughter. The opposing parties are the child’s paternal grandmother (PGM) and father. In January of 2022, a final order was entered granting PGM primary physical and sole legal custody. Client was granted partial physical custody two days per week. Client later filed to modify, and an order was entered in August of 2025; PGM retained primary physical and sole legal custody, and Client was granted supervised visitation. A hearing was set for 2026. Client alleges the child is not safe in PGM’s care because of illicit activities in the home. Client further alleges that PGM purposely schedules events and activities to interfere with Client’s visitation. Client’s goal is to obtain primary physical and shared legal custody; however, she is amenable to shared physical custody. A volunteer is needed to represent the client at her upcoming hearing.
