Case #26-0129108

Urgent

Spanish-speaking client seeks assistance with a collections matter set for hearing in Municipal Court on November 18, 2026 at 9 am. Client was properly served and notified that he is being sued by debt-buyer, Midland Credit Management, for a total of $3,806.86. This debt is related to a Citibank credit card. Client fell behind on payments to his credit card after a sudden employment change lowered his income, leaving him unable to make timely payments for all his family’s expenses. Client is not judgement proof. Client would like to, first, dispute the debt. However, if the debt is legitimately owned by Midland Credit Management and owed by client, he would be willing to enter a payment plan that would give him the ability to make payments and not fall behind. A volunteer is needed to represent client in this matter. VIP is also assisting client in a separate debt collection matter against the same creditor (26-0129107). A volunteer is encouraged, but not required, assist with both matters. An interpreter is available upon request.
