Client seeks full representation for a custody hearing scheduled for February 9, 2027 at 9 am before Judge Betsy Wahl. Client shares a five-year-old daughter with the opposing party, child’s father. The current custody order dictates that client has primary physical custody and opposing party has partial physical custody on alternating weekends. Despite the order, this has not been strictly adhered to for some time, with opposing party’s housing situation, at times, precluding proper visitation. Client has filed for a modification of the current custody order due to concerns of opposing party’s treatment of child when she is in his care. Client noted changes in her daughter’s behavior and concerns about her treatment while in Opposing Party’s custody. Client currently has a protection from abuse order against opposing party, who has a history of abuse towards client. A volunteer is needed to represent client at her upcoming hearing.
